Kozloff-Rotenberg Night of Music

Saturday, September 13th at 7pm

Jeri Kozloff and Alison Rotenberg loved music and appreciated the role that music plays in all of our lives.  The Kozloff-Rotenberg Night of Music presents excellent Jewish music at Oheb Sholom, while raising money for the Music Fund which pays for part of the cost of our cantor, our choir, our accompanist, and music events.  Our goal is to make this fund self-sustaining.

On Saturday September 13th at 7 PM, this year’s Night of Music features Micha Biton, a pioneer of Israeli ethnic rock who is renowned in Israel and has traveled the world solo and with his band.  He is a survivor of the October 7, 2023 attacks, during which he spent 13 hours in his safe room with his wife and four children.  He emerged to find that 20 of his neighbors in Moshav Netiv Ha’asara (a Gaza border community) had been killed.

Micha says, “I have learned to tell my story from a place of light and faith.  How?  Because we survived…. There is no doubt that if your life was saved, there is light.”

Seats are $36/person.  This is a private event – reservations are required.  Security will be provided.

If you would like to sponsor Night of Music and, in turn, the Music Fund, we have several levels of giving, which will be recognized in the evening’s program. Whether or not you plan to attend, please write the amount you will contribute in the appropriate blank below.

Following this performance, there will be a Dessert Reception in the Social Hall followed by the evening’s Selichot Service back in the Sanctuary.

Please fill out the information below to donate through PayPal. If you are attending, your name will appear on a list provided to the ushers. Tickets will not be sent to you. If finances are an issue, please contact Rabbi Michelson (rabbi@ohebsholom.org) for assistance.
