The High Holidays are four weeks away. As you know, it is our custom to prepare a Memorial Book that will be distributed at our Yizkor Service on Yom Kippur afternoon. We have been using this dignified means of perpetuating the names of our loved ones. In preparation for this year’s booklet, we would ask you to submit the information needed for the Memorial Book. In order to assemble the listing on time, we ask all submissions be completed by Monday, September 16.
Tzedakah, charity, is one of the loftiest principles of our faith and meaningful preparation for the High Holy Days. We request that you send in a contribution with the names that you want included in the Memorial Book. Please make your gift as generous as possible, since our Memorial Book costs a considerable amount to produce. We request, where possible, a donation of at least ten dollars ($10.00) for each name listed. Your generous contributions will help support our synagogue, as a living symbol of Judaism.
