RCOS is a non-profit organization falling under the IRS's rules as a 501 (c)(3) corporation. As such, your donations should be tax deductible. Please check with your tax advisor to be certain.
Your donations can be targeted to many specific purposes. Scroll down on this page, to see many different goals for your gift:
Pay Dues: Dues are the lifeblood of the Temple and support our routine operations. You can pay your annual dues on line either as a lump sum or with monthly installments. Please remember that to offer this convenince the Temple incurs a 3% fee, so please consider increasing your contribution. Select donate and you will be asked to specify the amount and the method of payment (Credit, Debit or PayPal). Check the Make this a Monthly Payment if you wish to to start a recurring payment.
Arthur Hammel Fund: Used wherever most needed; primarily for capital improvements.
Building Fund (AKA Maintenance and Capital Improvements Fund): To improve and maintain the Oheb Sholom Facility
Cemetery Fund: To provide for perpetual care of Mt. Sinai Cemetery.
General Operating Fund: To operate the Temple on a daily basis.
Greater Temple Fund: A Quasi-Endownment fund used to provide income in lieu of dues; spending limited to 4% per year.
Landscaping Fund: To enhance the beauty of Oheb Sholom's landscape
Library Fund: To purchase books and maintain the library.
Music Fund: To enhance the music programs at Oheb Sholom
Rabbi's Discretionary Fund: To be used for special projects and needy members as determined by the Rabbi
Sondheim Floral Fund: To provide flowers for services
Torah Endowment Fund: Permanent endowment fund whose income in used for physical improvements, broader educational programs other worthy projects.
